Water is vital to the body.  In fact the amount of water in the human body ranges between 55-78% based on age and gender.  It is not only extremely important to make consuming water a priority, but it is also essential that you are drinking the best quality water.  Smart water is one of the many brands of bottled water on the market.  Smart Water goes through a distillation process, which includes boiling the water into a steam or vapor and then when it cools it returns back to a liquid more purified state. The rationale in doing this is to remove any unsafe chemicals and organisms like bacteria. One of the downsides of this process is that it removes any natural minerals from the water, which is why Smart Water chooses to add back in electrolytes like potassium, calcium and magnesium.  The distillation process causes the water to become more acidic.  Unfortunately the acidity can negatively affect ones health including a role in promotion of cavities, whereas a more alkaline water is better at hydrating the body.  In summary, a preferred bottled water is one where the water is alkaline, removal of contaminants like toxins are removed and/or the water comes a clean source such as Fiji water.
